INFORMATION ON THE POCKET PUGGLE THE POCKET PUGGLE
- Pocket puggles are a smaller version of a puggle. A first generation pocket puggle originates from a female pocket beagle and a male pug. From there you can breed:
1. A pocket puggle with a pocket puggle
2. A pocket puggle with a pug
3. A pocket puggle with a pocket beagle
4. A pocket beagle and pug(1st generation)
- A pocket puggle's height is about 10" tall and will weigh anywhere from 8-16 lbs. Though I found them to be more around 12-18lbs.Where the standard puggle's height is about 15" tall and will weigh 16-30 lbs. Which I found to be 30-45lbs. (Both are very cute!) A pocket puggles life expectancy is around 15 years. They are a short haired dog, therefor there shedding is at a minimum. They have a soft coat, muscular body and a curled tail. They have droopy ears like a beagle. There faces are wrinkled like a pug, but there noses are longer, which helps with the breathing problems pugs may have. They can come in many different colors. Though the common color you may see them is fawn.(see picture at the top of this page). They call them "Mini-Mastiffs" due to the same colorings.
- Pocket puggles are very smart, loveable, loyal, sweet and affectionate. They are true lapdogs! They love to play or just hang out. They will follow you everywhere, love car rides, walks, playtime and nap-time. They are easily trainable, even to use a litter box! Some pocket puggles do in fact bark! Some actually howl like a beagle, which is a trait they can inherit. Pocket puggles are excellent with children and with other animals(pets).
- They can be a handful and stubborn if not given enough attention. (Though the same could be said for any dog). Some pocket puggles are extremely calm while other can be the complete opposite. (Not sure if this is due to the environment they grow up in or just their individual personalities).
ABOUT ME AND MY PUPPIES
This page is to help you learn a little about me and my beautiful puppies. I live in Forked River, New Jersey with my two wonderful daughters, Brittany and Kaytlynn. My extremely supportive and loving boyfriend Mark who now shares my home "The Zoo". Mark has a great son, Garret, who is over often and loves to play with the dogs and bird and feed the fish. I have six dogs, a golden retriever "Sabastian", a beagle "Hailey", four pocket puggles "Oreo", "Reese's", "Sammy" and "Bucca". A blue and gold macaw "Kazze". And finally, I have twenty koi fish in my koi pond. Every one of my animals are a part of the family and are loved very much! I decided to breed my beautiful pocket puggles during my search to find a pocket puggle. I could not find one anywhere in my area that did not cost an arm and a leg. Pet stores wanted almost $2000.00 for a standard puggle and did not sell a pocket puggle (Not that I would ever buy from a pet store). Breeders wanted a little less but not by much and still they did not breed the pocket puggle only standard.
My puppies will eat a mixture of Eukanuba wet and dry food, along with nursing from mom. They are all healthy and happy little puppies that love to play and sleep. I have already begun de-worming and at 6 weeks they will be able to start their vaccinations. When they are 8 weeks old they will be ready to move in to their new homes. They will be sent home with a Eukanuba starter kit which comes with a sample bag of Eukanuba puppy food, coupons, and information on a new puppy. I also offer to purchase "The Snuggle Puppy" 
It has a real feel heart beat and comes with 20 hour disposable heaters and a terrycloth pouch. This helps a puppy adjust to there new home and from being away from Mom. In the past they always recommended a heating pad and a ticking clock to simulate the puppies mother's presence. I found this item through one of my breeder sites and thought it was the greatest thing! So I purchased enough to offer to each of my buyers as a option. I now also offer a travel carrier to bring your new puppy home.
